Thomas Bugbee, CFP®

After studying physiology and anatomy and spending 10+ years in the sports medicine field working with injured and rehabilitating athletes at the professional and collegiate levels, Tom reached a professional ceiling and decided to take on a new challenge. Just like in the medical industry, Tom was able to marry his two professional passions together: analyzing data and applying it to those in need of help improving their lives, only this time it was their financial health.

Tom began his career in financial services in 2003 in the Insurance industry with John Hancock, which supported him in acquiring his securities licenses and shortly after started managing investments. In 2011 Tom achieved his Certified Financial Planner designation and has spent the past 12 years designing and implementing various risk-managed investment portfolios for clients. He treats his clients, particularly those within his niche market - retirees – as though they are family; he never makes recommendations he wouldn’t feel comfortable putting his 80+ year old parents in.

Tom and his wife Kelly are active members of the Phoenix community and have two teenage children, Brooke and Liam. When they aren’t working or shuttling their kids to all of their various activities, they can be found at the gym, the mountains, or the beach, as they are avid outdoor and fitness enthusiasts.
